Flaming Ox has done it again! The spicy shrimp and pork wontons are the PERFECT little lunch (for me) where I don't want to overeat and hit that 3 pm slump (IYKYK!) Okay, I lied. It'd be even more perfect with the chilled cucumber appetizer... now I'm thinking about pitching an appetizer sampler to the employees next time I go... hm...

Finally stopped by Flaming Ox for a quick weekday lunch. They have an excellent lunch menu with extremely reasonable prices and delicious food. We ordered the beef noodle soup with popcorn chicken combo, mini belly rice combo, crispy green onion pancake and passion fruit green tea. The food was prepared quickly and we got everything within 5 minutes. Everything was great and so fresh- highlights were definitely the crispy green onion pancake and the popcorn chicken for me. Great pairing with the cold, refreshing passion fruit green tea to wash everything down. Service was super friendly and efficient. They were really busy with a full restaurant and many take out orders. Glad to see a local business thriving and will for sure be back again!

This is truly one of my favorite restaurants that I can keep coming back to often. The prices are decent for such flavorful and delicious bowls of noodles. I usually get one of the beef noodle soups, which are fantastic!! The soups are so flavorful, and the beef is always tender with a good amount of tendon and meat. This time I got the traditional dry noodle, which is basically a dry version of their noodle soup. It was equally flavorful but in a more intense way, more oily, and with several thick beef slices. You can choose thin or thick noodles, and the thick noodles worked pretty well here for picking up the sauce. The chili oil is a great addition and adds good flavor. I just wish they included more of it in the takeout container. I also wish the portion of veggies was larger. This was a pickup order and it was ready in a reasonable amount of time. The staff were friendly, and I liked the takeout container with the divider between the soup and noodles. The shop is small but has a good amount of seating.
